Gable, Clark - 1932 TLS
1932 TLS signed by a still young (31), just about to catch fire, Clark Gable. This is a folded letter sheet. Open, it measures, approx. 7x11. Stamped and postmarked Jan 26 1932 from Los Angeles to Philadelphia PA. Folded to display letter side, it measures approx. 5x7. Good content. Clark mentions his next picture, "Polly of the Circus" with Miss Marion Davies and says, "it is already be <sic> shown here in Los Angeles". Clark signs in dark steel tip. This letter is mere months before Clark set the screen on fire with Jean Harlow in "Red Dust", which was released in October of 1932. An impressive early letter typed, hand signed and hand corrected (3 times) by Clark Gable. Some staining to sheet far from the signature. Comes with a beautiful 2nd generation 10x8 still photo from the film, that is mentioned in Gable's letter, "Polly of the Circus".
